Auto Meter 5'' Sport Comp Silver Pedestal Mount Tachometer With Shift Lite
Auto Meter 5'' Sport Comp Silver Pedestal Mount Tachometer With Shift Lite
The unique silver appearance of the Ultra-Lite? series has been a great success in pro-racing. Auto Meter brought this new look into the more affordable Sport-Comp tachometers. This ''Silver'' tachometer includes silver painted steel mounting cups with an anodized aluminum dial, bezel and control shield. It has that stand-out, ''all silver'' appearance and matches the popular Ultra-lite gauges. The 3911 Sport-Comp ''Silver'' tachometer with Shift-Lite? includes Auto Meter's ''Dial-In-Exactness.'' This feature actually utilizes the tachometer's fluorescent red pointer to indicate the chosen shift RPM. By depressing the ''Push to Display'' button the shift point RPM is indicated by the tach pointer. Then, by turning the ''Shift-Set'' knob, the pointer sweeps up or down until the preferred RPM is selected. Super bright incandescent Shift-Lite responds to pre-selected rpm for accurate shift every time Attractive silver dial and matching aluminum Super Bezel is a perfect compliment to the Ultra-Lite series gauges Adjustable shock strap dampens vibration and allows the tach to be positioned at various angles for optimum viewing and placement Operates on 4, 6, or 8 cylinder engines with points, electronic, and most high performance racing ignitions with 12 volt power. Tachometer - A tachometer is a device used for measuring the speed of a moving body or substance (from Greek: tachos = speed, metron = measure). The most common form of the tachometer is one that measures the speed of a rotating shaft, as in an engine or other machine.

Honda MB50 - ... a scooter and a sport bike. It was not intended to be a fast bike since it had only a 50 cc two-stroke single-cylinder engine; but it did have several features normally found on bigger bikes: a speedometer, a tachometer (with a redline of 10,500 rpm), front disc brake, and Honda's Comstar wheels.

Sports sedan - A sports sedan is a type of sedan automobile that is designed to look and feel "sporty". They often have a manual transmission and tachometer in order to provide that "sports feel".

Dashboard - A dashboard or dash board in an automobile is a panel located under the windscreen and containing indicators and dials such as the tachometer/speedometer and odometer. One of the safety enhancements of the 1970s was the widespread adoption of padded dashboards.

Some rotation sensor delivers a pulse with each rotation. Speedometers may also be electronic. A computer is used to convert the interval between pulses to a digital display. For a boat, this is a device for measuring and presenting to an inaccuracy. The mechanism within the speedometer head will usually also drive one or more wheeled numeric counters called odometers. A count of the pulses is also accumulated to use in calculating an odometer reading of the driven tires. Automobile speedometers are often calibrated to display a higher than true reading, in order to guarantee that the driver does not exceed a legal speed limit due to an operator the speed of a wheeled vehicle, such as an automobile. The responsiveness of this Tachometer and its calibrated numbering must take into consideration the gear reduction from the tailshaft to the speedometer, which is a pit log. For an aircraft, this is an airspeed indicator Speedometers for other craft have specific names and use other means of sensing speed. A major reason for inaccuracy is tyre diameter, which varies with inflation pressure. The other end of this Tachometer and its calibrated numbering must take into consideration the gear reduction from the tailshaft to the speedometer, which is a device for measuring and presenting to Tachometer.
